Mistake (Uta x Reader) Part 11

   *Uta’s POV*

   After I finished fighting the man that was beating (Y/n), I picked her up and whispered words into her ears that I would never tell anyone, ‘forgive me’. (Y/n) was impaled at her stomach and was losing a lot of blood. The only doctor I know capable to make her live again is Kanou. That mad scientist will have to listen to me.

   I ran out of the building with (Y/n) in my arms to the location that Kanou’s lab is located at. I didn’t care much about what happens to Kaneki anymore, because I realized I have someone I love, and I don’t want to risk her wellbeing for something that be done later.

   Once I reached the facility where Kanou did all of his ‘lab experiments’, I went inside to talk to him. Once I found him, he looked at (Y/n) and then looked at me.

   “Before you say no, I need you to do me a favor, just hear me out.” I told him as I laid (Y/n) down on a table.

   “Why would I do that?” He asked me in a voice that showed superiority.

   “I’m giving you another test subject. The more the better, right? And plus, you owe Souta for giving you Rize. You owe the Pierrot. Now please, make her live to see tomorrow.” I told him with my poker face, but on the inside, I was extremely worried that (Y/n) wouldn’t make it.

   “Fine, but I have my own conditions for this.” He told me. “First, she’s my test subject until I say that she can go. Second, it’s not my fault if she doesn’t make it. And third, you won’t bother me about saving her right away, surgeries take time, okay?”

   “Okay, now hurry up; she’s losing a lot of blood.” I said as I looked back at (Y/n)

   Kanou had picked her up and took her into a room that I wasn’t allowed to go in. I left the building contemplating whether she would make it or not. I walked to my shop, which is pretty far from here, but it gave me lots of time to think. By the time I made it back, it was three in the morning. I waited a week for Kanou to call me, and once he did, I felt fidgety.

   “Is she alright?” I asked him as soon as I picked up the phone.

   “She went through the surgeries. Do you want to hear the good news first, or the bad news?” he asked me.

   I was afraid to what the bad news was. “Tell me the good news first.”

   Kanou paused a bit before saying the good news. “Okay, well, your girlfriend is fully healed and now a one-eyed ghoul! I don’t know if I’d count her becoming a ghoul is good news or not, but for you, it might be.” I sighed in relief. “And now the bad news is that she’s in a coma, and it’s unsure when she’ll wake up. You can take her home, but you’ll have to give her doses of human flesh or blood every day so she can survive. You can call if there’s any trouble.”

   She’s alive, I thought.

I brought (Y/n) into my home a few days later, and took all her things from her apartment so that she can live with me once she wakes up,    if she ever wakes up. Itori and Nico come and visit her, I sometimes feel annoyed when they’re here because they keep on teasing (Y/n) and she can’t do anything. I’ve kicked them out over ten times, but they still come back. (Y/n) would have laughed at that.

   I hope she wakes up soon.
